SSH Telnet in Shared Hosting
If the shared hosting plan that you’ve picked during the signup process features SSH access by default, you'll be able to activate this function with simply a mouse click inside your Hepsia Control Panel. In case you have selected a different plan, the SSH access function may be added through the Upgrades menu and it'll become available instantly. The information that you need to connect will be conveniently listed in the SSH section of the CP - the hostname, the username and the port number. You may also set what password to use from the same place and you'll be able to change it at any time. All the commands that are allowed are listed inside the Help articles that we have prepared for you, in addition to examples of the syntax that you have to use. An additional advantage of permitting SSH access to your account is that you will be able to upload files via an SFTP connection.
SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Hosting
SSH access is available as standard with some of our semi-dedicated server solutions, while with others you are able to add it via the hosting Control Panel if required - even just for the current month. In any case, you are able to activate and de-activate the function with only one mouse click via the SSH section of the Control Panel. In the same location, you will see the server name, the port number and the username required to connect to our platform. You will also find a box in which you can type in the password you want to use, because it does not need to be the same as the one you use to log into the Control Panel. For better security, you could also change it as frequently as you require. A complete list of the commands that can be executed in a semi-dedicated account is available in our Knowledge Base, together with the syntax and a few instances. An extra function after SSH access is enabled shall be the ability to connect to your hosting space via SFTP using any FTP client which supports this kind of connections.
