While composing and sending an email message is easy, managing your email mailbox accounts can be tricky. The Email Accounts Manager featured in the EXPRESShostings Hosting Control Panel is here to assist you with that. It offers you a simplified interface from where you can easily forward mail messages, set up email filters, order email spam protection, etc.

If you have an e–mail client, we offer you some handy auto–config scripts – just download a file and it will configure your e–mail box account momentarily. You can also use our webmail client – it is fully featured and you can access it from any place in the world.

With the File Manager available in the EXPRESShostings Hosting Control Panel, you’ll have one of the most powerful web file management tools at your disposal. With it, you can upload files simply by dragging them into your browser window. You can move files and directories in your account by dragging and dropping them. You can unpack uploaded zipped archives.

You can also right–click on any file or directory to acquire access to these functions.

If you own a number of domains, administering them with ordinary Control Panel tools can be tricky. The Hosting Control Panel–integrated Domains Manager enables you to administer all your domain names at once.

If you own multiple domains, you can also designate different labels to them. In this way, you can easily filter out your domains and find only the ones that you want.

With the Apps Installer located in the Hosting Control Panel, you can quickly install 40+ different web apps, among them Joomla^™, WordPress, Mambo and others. No more looking for the most recent release of a certain application. What’s more, you’ll no longer have to upload, install and configure everything by hand. We’ll carry out all configuration operations and will also automatically set up a database for your software app.

In addition, our Apps Installer maintains a log file of all the apps that you have installed, including the user name, the password and the login page. This way, you can still sign in, even if you fail to remember your password.

In the EXPRESShostings Hosting Control Panel we have incorporated the ModSecurity Apache module. It’s a tiny module that does a superb job – it acts as a firewall for your applications, guarding them against hack attacks, cross–site scripting injections and URL forgery attacks. We have already defined the rules for the firewall, so you don’t need to configure it before it starts working.

And ModSecurity is enabled automatically for all your websites – as soon as they go online, they will be instantly secured. If you want, you can manually deactivate ModSecurity for any of your websites.

If you need to access a site outside a firewall, or if you’d like to browse the Internet anonymously, then we have just the solution for you. It’s available in our Hosting Control Panel. With our VPN access option, you will be able to browse the World Wide Web safely with your personal computer, netbook or telephone no matter where you are.

You can pick the physical location of the VPN server yourself. We’ve got datacenters in different countries on different continents.

Databases are a crucial component of every app – it’s where all the information is located. With our Database Manager, you will have a handy tool at hand, which will enable you to manage both your MySQL and PostgreSQL databases with simply several clicks.

We’ve streamlined the database creation procedure, so you can now set up a new database in seconds. We also offer a one–click database backup possibility. And if you install a new application, we can automatically set up the database on your behalf.

With the EXPRESShostings Hosting Control Panel, you can effortlessly set up an auto–backup of your web sites and your MySQL and PgSQL databases in your Dropbox account. That way, you can rest assured that, irrespective of what happens with our hosting servers, you will always have the latest backup available to you.

Our Dropbox backup service is entirely automated – all you have to do is connect your Dropbox account and specify how many backup copies you want to keep at all times.
